to live with honor before God and others, to live with
commitment to principle, to live with dedication to a cause,

While attending a concert, my
mind detoured to a troublesome issue that insisted
on my attention. Thankfully, the distraction was
short-lived as the words of a beautiful hymn began
to reach deep into my being. A men’s a capella group
was singing “Be Still, My Soul.” Tears welled up as
I listened to the words and contemplated the restful

You and be confident in Your love.

side of the Sea of Galilee and could have been the
birthplace of three of the disciples: Andrew, Peter,

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for
yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods
which your fathers served that were on the other side of the
River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.
But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
